Nashville Predators Vs Vancouver Canucks November 17 2024 Highlights

The Nashville Predators secured a 5-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday night, November 17, 2024, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. The win was highlighted by Steven Stamkos‘ two power-play goals, which played a crucial role in the Predators’ success.

Zachary L’Heureux opened the scoring for Nashville with his first NHL goal at 5:28 of the first period, collecting a loose puck in front of the net and firing it past Canucks goalie Kevin Lankinen. The Canucks responded with a goal from Aatu Raty, assisted by Erik Brannstrom and Danton Heinen, to tie the game at 1-1.

In the second period, the Predators took the lead again with two goals in a span of 2:04. Stamkos scored his first goal of the night on a power play, and Roman Josi followed with another goal just 11 seconds later after Juuse Saros thwarted a breakaway attempt by Kiefer Sherwood. This gave the Predators a 3-2 lead heading into the third period.

The Canucks narrowed the gap in the third period with a goal from Elias Pettersson, but Gustav Nyquist sealed the win for Nashville with an empty-net goal in the final minutes of the game. Kiefer Sherwood also scored for the Canucks, but it was not enough to overcome the Predators’ lead.

The victory marked the Predators’ first win in four games and only their second road win of the season, improving their record to 5-10-3. The Canucks, meanwhile, dropped to 9-5-3 and have yet to win back-to-back games at Rogers Arena this season.
