Naz Reid Exits Game 1 With Injury Against Warriors

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — The Minnesota Timberwolves faced a challenging start to their playoff series against the Golden State Warriors Tuesday night as reserve power forward Naz Reid exited Game 1 due to an apparent leg injury.
The injury occurred midway through the second quarter when Reid collided with courtside fans while pursuing a loose ball. After hitting the floor hard, he was seen favoring his left leg, the same issue that sidelined Warriors star Stephen Curry earlier in the game.
Reid attempted to shake off the injury but ultimately chose to foul and left the game to seek medical attention with the clock winding down in the first half. At the time of his departure, Reid had scored six points, shooting 3-of-5 from the field, alongside four rebounds and a steal in 14 minutes of action.
The Timberwolves were already struggling on the scoreboard, trailing the Warriors 44-31 at halftime, marking their lowest-scoring half of the season. Three-time All-Star Julius Randle led the Timberwolves with a modest 10 points on 3-of-8 shooting.
Meanwhile, the Warriors were also dealing with injury issues, as Curry, an 11-time All-Star, had to exit the game with a left hamstring injury, finishing with 13 points in just 13 minutes.
Despite the setbacks, the Warriors managed to maintain their lead, with Draymond Green leading the team with 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting. In a brief update during the broadcast, it was confirmed that Reid has been cleared to return for the second half.
As the playoffs progress, both teams will be focusing on their injured players and strategizing for the remainder of the series.
