Cooper Flagg Duke Basketball 2025 Nba Draft

NEW YORK — With the 2025 NBA Draft still months away, ESPN draft analysts Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo have released their latest mock draft, highlighting the top prospects making waves in college basketball and beyond. Duke‘s Cooper Flagg has emerged as the frontrunner for the No. 1 pick, while RutgersDylan Harper and Ace Bailey are also generating significant buzz.

Flagg, a 6-foot-9 forward, has been a standout for Duke, averaging 18.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. His versatility and improving shooting have solidified his position as the top prospect. “Flagg’s overall impact has been off the charts,” said Givony. “If his shooting and self-creation keep trending upward, he could be the runaway favorite for the No. 1 pick.”

Harper, a 6-foot-6 point guard from Rutgers, has shown flashes of brilliance despite recent illness setbacks. He averaged 19.9 points and 5.2 assists in December, shooting 15-for-32 from 3-point range. “Harper’s size, strength, and instincts make him a unique prospect,” Woo noted. “If he can maintain his shooting, he’ll be a top-tier pick.”

Bailey, Harper’s teammate at Rutgers, is a 6-foot-10 wing with elite athleticism but questions about his consistency. Scouts praise his shot-making ability but remain concerned about his decision-making and rim pressure. “Bailey fits the modern NBA archetype,” Givony said, “but he needs to refine his game to maximize his potential.”

Other notable prospects include IllinoisKasparas Jakucionis, Baylor‘s V.J. Edgecombe, and Duke’s Kon Knueppel. Jakucionis, a 6-foot-6 guard, has impressed with his playmaking and versatility, while Edgecombe’s athleticism and defensive upside have kept him in the top-10 conversation. Knueppel, a 6-foot-7 forward, has exceeded expectations as a scorer and facilitator for Duke.

The draft order remains fluid, with teams like the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Brooklyn Nets holding multiple first-round picks. The lottery in May will ultimately shape the top of the draft, but for now, Flagg and Harper lead a talented class of prospects vying for NBA stardom.
