NBC Cancels ‘Suits LA’ After Just One Season

Los Angeles, CA — NBC has canceled ‘Suits LA‘ after just one season, following disappointing viewership numbers since its premiere in February 2025. Created by Aaron Korsh, the series was intended to capitalize on the renewed popularity of the original ‘Suits‘ series on Netflix.
‘Suits LA’ features Stephen Amell as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor whose law firm is facing a crisis. Despite initial buzz surrounding the show, including appearances from original cast members like Gabriel Macht and Rick Hoffman, the response has been lukewarm.
Viewership numbers for ‘Suits LA’ remained around 1 million, which was not enough for a network show, even though NBC attempted various promotions, including a special marathon of ‘Suits’ episodes in March. The planned takeover failed to generate the expected interest in the spinoff.
Other returning cast members included Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt, and Bryan Greenberg. “It was a high-profile project, and we had hopes it could draw an audience, but those numbers just didn’t grow,” an NBC source stated.
The series marked the second ‘Suits’ spinoff to be canceled after one season, the first being ‘Pearson’ on USA Network. Aaron Korsh, who created both shows, served as executive producer alongside several others, but the venture has not borne fruit as NBC had hoped.
Along with ‘Suits LA’, NBC is re-evaluating its schedule, with other cancellations affecting shows like ‘The Irrational‘ and ‘Lopez vs. Lopez‘. The series finale of ‘Suits LA’ is scheduled to air on May 18.
