Omaha, NE — The NCAA Division I Baseball Committee will announce the 64 teams competing for the 2025 NCAA college baseball championship at noon ET on Monday, May 26, on ESPN2.

These teams will be divided into 16 four-team regions, featuring a double-elimination format. The tournament will start with regionals, progress to super regionals, and culminate in the Men’s College World Series (MCWS), beginning on June 13 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha.

Tennessee enters the tournament as the defending champion after defeating Texas A&M in the 2024 finals, becoming the first No. 1 overall seed to claim the title since 1999.

The format of the tournament has evolved since its inception in 1947, which originally included just eight teams. The current structure awards automatic berths to conference champions and selects at-large teams, with 29 automatic bids and 35 at-large selections for 2025.

Top teams like Vanderbilt, North Carolina, and Texas have made headlines, with Vanderbilt winning their conference tournament on Sunday against Ole Miss, solidifying their position as a strong contender.

Fans can view the full bracket and the regional seeds as they unfold tomorrow, allowing them to track their favorite teams through the upcoming rounds of the tournament.

The regionals will run through June 2, the super regionals from June 6-9, and the CWS from June 13-23, with the finals starting June 21.
