The local organizing committee is gearing up for a weekend filled with events aimed at attracting over 100,000 visitors. Public safety measures, transportation options, and various festivities were outlined during a press conference held on Tuesday.
The weekend’s events will include the March Madness Music Festival featuring performances from artists like Pitbull, Chris Stapleton, and T-Pain in Tower Park. Additionally, a free Tip-Off Tailgate at Civic Park will provide activities, food, and drink for attendees.
Rebecca Salinas, a digital executive producer at KSAT, noted, “San Antonio is ready to showcase not only the thrilling games but the vibrant community spirit and hospitality we have to offer.”
Auburn, the overall No. 1 seed, is making its first-ever Final Four appearance, having defeated Michigan and Michigan State on its way. Meanwhile, Florida, another top seed, enters the matchup riding a wave of momentum with both close and dominant wins.
Duke, a favorite to clinch the title, boasts Player of the Year candidate Cooper Flagg, while Houston is armed with a seasoned roster led by coach Kelvin Sampson. Each team brings a contrasting style of play to the court, leading to anticipation for thrilling matchups.
As fans prepare to witness these pivotal contests, tickets are selling quickly after the confirmation of the final four teams. Interested participants are advised to acquire their passes as soon as possible.
