LOS ANGELES, CA — Comedian and actor Kevin Hart is set to star in a new Netflix film titled “72 Hours,” where he plays a 40-something executive trying to revive his career during a wild bachelor party weekend. This movie marks a new step for rising star Mike Hernandez, who has been cast in a significant supporting role as the groom’s best man and the bachelor party captain.

The film’s plot kicks off when Hart’s character is accidentally added to a group text for the bachelor party, leading him to join a group of twenty-somethings on a bender. It promises to blend Hart’s comedic style with a fresh narrative.

This role in “72 Hours” is Hernandez’s first major feature film appearance. He gained popularity through his humorous “Weekend Update” segments on “Saturday Night Live” and received acclaim for his viral skits. Most notably, he portrays Domingo, a character consistently attempting to win over a married woman, humorously reflecting on the themes of love and loyalty.

Hernandez is currently involved in another project as part of the voice cast for Paramount’s upcoming animated sequel in the “Angry Birds” franchise, featuring other actors like KeKe Palmer and Jason Sudeikis.

Directed by Tim Story, known for his work on “Barbershop” and “The Blackening,” this film is Hart and Story’s fifth collaboration. Their past projects have successfully dominated the box office, raking in a combined $445 million globally. The team behind the script includes Matt Mider, Kevin Burrows, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, the latter two credited with the original draft.

Hernandez is set to conclude the current season of “SNL” this weekend. He is represented by CAA, LBI, and attorney Patti Felker.
