The Housemaid Movie Trailer Amanda Seyfried Sydney Sweeney

LOS ANGELES, CA — A new trailer for “The Housemaid” has been released, just in time for the holiday season. The film, directed by Paul Feig and based on Freida McFadden‘s best-selling novel, stars Amanda Seyfried as Nina, who hires Millie, portrayed by Sydney Sweeney, as her live-in housemaid.

Initially, Nina’s life appears perfect, but the trailer reveals a darker side to her seemingly idyllic existence. At one point, Nina frantically searches through the refrigerator, accusing Millie of throwing away her PTA notes, displaying a chaotic side to her personality.

As the trailer unfolds, tension escalates with scenes of Nina holding a bloody knife, contrasting with moments of calm where she advises Millie to exercise caution. The accompanying soundtrack features Sabrina Carpenter’s song “Please Please Please,” which adds to the disturbing atmosphere of the footage.

The film promises a suspenseful narrative filled with twists, portraying a world where perfection is merely an illusion. Millie takes on the job, hoping to escape her past, only to find herself entangled in a “sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal and power,” according to the film’s logline.

Alongside Seyfried and Sweeney, the cast includes Brandon Sklenar, who has appeared in “It Ends With Us” and “Drop.” “The Housemaid” is set to hit theaters on December 19, providing audiences with a thrilling cinematic experience.
