New York Liberty Vs Washington Mystics

Washington, D.C. — The New York Liberty will seek to break a franchise record tonight as they face the Washington Mystics. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Currently, the Liberty are 7-0, matching their best start from 1997. Winning tonight would set a new franchise record at 8-0 for the defending champions, who are among only two undefeated teams this season alongside the Minnesota Lynx.

The Mystics, however, come into the game with a 3-5 record, having lost their previous contests against the Liberty and the Indiana Fever. Their standout player, Brittney Sykes, averages 21.4 points per game.

This season, the Liberty’s Breanna Stewart has been a key player, leading her team with an average of 18.1 points per game. The Liberty previously played the Mystics on May 30, winning decisively with a score of 85-63.

Kiki Iriafen, the Mystics’ rookie standout and fourth overall pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, is the first in team history to receive the Rookie of the Month honor. She will be looking to lead her team to victory tonight.

The game will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime, which offers a 30-day free trial for new members. Following the trial, subscriptions can be purchased for $14.99 per month or at a discounted rate for eligible young adults at $7.49 per month. This matchup starts a doubleheader, with the Golden State Valkyries taking on the Phoenix Mercury later tonight.
