New York Times Strands Game

NEW YORK, NY – The New York Times continues to engage word game enthusiasts with its daily Strands puzzle, which challenges players to find theme words hidden in a grid of letters. Launched alongside other popular games like Wordle and Connections, Strands presents a fresh take on the classic word search.

Players are faced with a six by eight grid of letters where they must uncover words that share a common theme. Each day offers a new set of clues and words, keeping the game dynamic.

According to the official game description, players need to identify a special word known as a spangram, which connects at least two sides of the grid. The spangram can potentially be a proper name, while the theme words are not.

The hints for today, November 14, describe the theme as “low-key elusive.” To assist players, an additional hint states that the challenge is “hard to spot,” enticing them to dig deeper into the puzzle.

Today’s game challenges players to locate six words, including the spangram. The spangram for today’s puzzle is “BARELY THERE.”

Players can connect letters in the grid vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. When they find three valid words, they unlock a hint that highlights one of the theme words.

As the game continues to evolve, it aims to offer a mix of easy and challenging puzzles, keeping players on their toes. With this latest setup, enthusiasts can look forward to engaging new content from the Strands puzzle every day.
