LAHORE, PakistanNew Zealand made a formidable start to their tri-series campaign, defeating Pakistan in the opening match under the lights of the renovated Gaddafi Stadium. The Black Caps demonstrated a balanced performance, pacing their innings effectively before leveraging spin to restrict Pakistan.

The match, played on Feb. 9, showcased New Zealand’s adaptability to local conditions. Spinners played a crucial role, delivering 26 of the 47.5 overs, with dew proving negligible.
