Nfl Scouting Combine Drills Indianapolis 2025

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The NFL Scouting Combine kicked off this week, showcasing top draft prospects ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft scheduled for April in Green Bay. Players took the field for measurements and drills, giving scouts and coaches vital insights into their skills and physical capabilities.

Quarterback Jaxson Dart from Mississippi announced on Friday he has met with representatives from the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. Dart plans to show off his throwing skills during Saturday’s combine drills, aiming to elevate his draft position.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Marvin Egbuka from Ohio State will not participate in on-field tests at the combine, opting to wait for his pro day back at Ohio State. Egbuka aims to preserve his potential for a big performance during his team’s pro day where he hopes to impress scouts.

“I want to give my best effort and show what I’ve got in front of my home crowd,” stated Egbuka. “Waiting for the pro day will just allow me to better prepare,” he added.

The combine not only serves as a proving ground for big-name players but also aids lesser-known prospects in making a name for themselves. Notably, while top-tier talents like quarterback Shedeur Sanders and EDGE rusher Abdul Carter will not participate in drills this year, plenty of promising players are stepping into the limelight, such as Jalen Milroe and Quinn Ewers.

As the first day of workouts progressed, defensive linemen and linebackers were the focus, culminating in several notable performances. Jihaad Campbell, known for a strong season at Alabama, clocked an unofficial 4.52 seconds in his first 40-yard dash run, showcasing his speed and athleticism.

“I’m ready to show teams what I can do and prove myself as a top linebacker,” claimed Campbell after his run.

Also demonstrating agility was Kain Medrano from UCLA, who led the linebackers with a speed of 4.46 seconds. During other drills, Medrano showed off his vertical jumping ability, confirming his status as a prospect to watch.

The excitement extended to the edge rushers segment, where Shemar Stewart of Texas A&M impressed with a 10-foot-11 broad jump, solidifying his athletic potential. His performance has reportedly increased his visibility among scouts. A talented defensive lineman, Walter Nolen from Ole Miss, received encouragement from NFL star Aaron Donald through a video message, motivating him ahead of his performance.

As the combine progresses, each day unveils fresh results and developments, with attendees eagerly anticipating how the workouts will affect draft stocks. Live updates and results will be available continuously as the event unfolds, showcasing the hard work and dedication these athletes put into their craft.

The action continues with tight ends and defensive backs scheduled for drills on Friday, which promises to bring more exciting performances. Fans can watch live coverage of the NFL Combine on NFL Network while streaming on selected digital platforms.
