2025 NFL Draft Kicks Off in Green Bay This Week

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin — The NFL Draft begins April 24, with the Tennessee Titans holding the first overall pick. This year’s event will span three days, culminating in the final rounds on Saturday.
Nearly 17 college players are set to attend the draft live, showcasing top prospects from major programs. Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan each have multiple attendees. Among the top players are Alabama quarterback, Colorado WR/CB, and Penn State edge rusher.
Each team has made preparations, and no first-round picks have been traded, allowing teams to settle in for their selections. The 49ers and Ravens lead with 11 picks each, while the Minnesota Vikings have the fewest with just four.
“The strengths of this draft class are depth, particularly at running back and edge rusher,” said NFL draft analyst Field Yates. “There could be a run on edge players earlier than expected, especially if teams shy away from drafting wide receivers and offensive tackles.”
For quarterbacks, Miami’s is projected as the top overall pick, with other notable prospects like Colorado’s and Ole Miss‘ also expected to be chosen early. “We might only see one quarterback go in the first round,” Yates added.
The Saints are another team to watch as they hold the No. 9 pick and might leverage it for a young quarterback, showing interest in names like Shedeur Sanders and Jaxson Dart.
As the league prepares for the draft, teams like the Browns and Giants are contemplating trades to maximize their positions. “Expect movement in the first round,” a source noted.
The anticipation builds as fans and analysts alike look forward to who will be the first selectees in this exciting annual event.
