NFL Draft 2025: Legends and Stars Set for Green Bay Selections

NEW YORK – The NFL announced today that a collection of legends and active players from all 32 teams will represent their clubs during Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay. Scheduled for April 24-26, this year’s event marks the first time the draft will be hosted in Wisconsin since 1940.
Opening night will kick off on Thursday, April 24, featuring Green Bay Packers legends Mason Crosby, Ahman Green, James Jones, Clay Matthews, and Jordy Nelson, who will help Commissioner Roger Goodell officiate the opening ceremonies. The draft continues with Rounds 2 and 3 on April 25, followed by Rounds 4-7 wrapping up the event on April 26.
The excitement escalates as Armstead, the 2024 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, joins Goodell to announce the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ first-round pick. Since joining the Jaguars last year, Armstead has made significant contributions to the Northeast Florida community, focusing on educational initiatives.
Among the NFL legends present, four have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame: Jerry Kramer, Dave Robinson, Lynn Swann, and Joe Thomas. Their presence symbolizes not just football excellence but also the legacy they’ve left behind. Tom McEwen, an analyst present during the announcement, noted, ‘These legends represent the heart and soul of the franchises they once played for.’
Fifteen total players will announce selections for their respective teams, including active NFL players such as Detroit’s Terrion Arnold, Carolina’s Chuba Hubbard, Miami’s Alec Ingold, New Orleans’ Ryan Ramczyk, and Indianapolis’ Jonathan Taylor. Those chosen come from a variety of collegiate programs, underscoring the diverse talent pool in the league.
A special highlight includes the 25th anniversary celebration of the 2000 Draft class, which will see seven legends announcing their teams’ selections, including John Abraham and Shaun Alexander.
With a keen eye on local ties, 13 presenters were educated at the University of Wisconsin, showcasing a strong historical connection between the school and the NFL. Players like Lee Evans, Montee Ball, and Melvin Gordon all represent the school’s legacy in the professional realm.
Tim Krumrie, a former Bengals lineman, will announce Cincinnati’s selections during Day 2. Krumrie, a two-time Pro Bowler, spent 12 seasons with the Bengals and earned his place in the organization’s history. ‘Announcing the picks is a way for me to give back to the community and franchise that provided me an amazing career,’ Krumrie stated.
The Bengals currently hold six draft picks, including appointments in every round, fueling anticipation for their selections on April 25, which Krumrie will oversee with picks 49 and 81.
As anticipation builds ahead of the three-day event, fans can look forward to an exciting lineup of players and legends taking the podium to announce selections. The NFL Draft 2025 will be broadcast live on ABC, ESPN, and the NFL Network.
