NFL Draft 2025 Sees Significant Picks and Key Moves in Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The 2025 NFL Draft commenced Thursday night in Green Bay with the Miami Dolphins selecting quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick.
All 32 teams participated in the first round, but the Tennessee Titans’ move to draft Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart at No. 25 turned heads. Following that, the Cleveland Browns made a strategic decision to re-enter the first round by trading up for Tennessee defensive end T.J. Graham.
With the NFL Draft consisting of multiple rounds, Rounds 2 and 3 took place on Friday night, while Rounds 4 to 7 will conclude on Saturday afternoon.
Titans coach Brian Callahan expressed high hopes for Ward, describing him as the best quarterback in this year’s draft class. “His experience playing 38 games in college will provide an edge if he is called to start right away,” Callahan said.
However, the Titans also face questions about Ward’s tendency towards risk-taking. “His playmaking ability could either prove to be a valuable asset or lead to turnovers,” Callahan noted.
Meanwhile, the Jaguars selected Hunter in the top five, bolstering their roster with a dynamic playmaker. Jaguars staff members believe Hunter’s dual threat ability will bring star power to a franchise that needs it.
The Giants picked Carter, viewed as a generational talent by their general manager Joe Schoen. His explosive play has drawn comparisons to former All-Pro players.
Over in New England, Coach Mike Vrabel hailed Campbell as a foundational piece for the Patriots. “This was an easy pick for us given his maturity and potential,” Vrabel said.
Each team is keenly aware of the balance needed to maximize talents like Ward, Hunter, and Carter, with the clock ticking on their immediate seasons.
As the draft progresses, teams will continue to adjust their strategies to build well-rounded rosters moving forward. The anticipation is high as Rounds 2 and 3 unfold these next nights.
