Nfl Free Agency 2025 Signings

NEW YORK, NY – The NFL‘s free agency period is currently in full swing, with many teams signing players after the league year officially began on March 12. As of May 16, 2025, most top free agents have signed, but several notable players still remain without contracts.

Among the best remaining free agents are a quarterback, a wide receiver, and a running back. Many teams have already finalized their contracts, including the New York Jets, who selected a quarterback in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. However, that player missed his entire rookie season due to a leg injury.

The Jacksonville Jaguars made a surprising move by releasing wide receiver Davis, who previously signed a three-year, $39 million deal just 14 months ago. After a lackluster season and the addition of new receivers, the team decided it was more beneficial to cut him.

Additionally, the Miami Dolphins are exploring trade options for cornerback Ramsey, who recently signed a three-year, $72.3 million contract extension. He is guaranteed $25.1 million for the upcoming season, but could provide significant cap savings for the team if traded.

Meanwhile, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media about quarterback Rodgers‘ visit with the team. Tomlin confirmed that there is no deadline for a decision on Rodgers’ potential signing.

The free agency landscape continues to evolve as teams strategize and finalize their rosters in preparation for the upcoming season. As the offseason progresses, expect more signings and possible trades to emerge.
