NFL Kicker Justin Tucker Suspended for 10 Weeks Due to Misconduct

Baltimore, MD — NFL kicker Justin Tucker has been suspended for the first ten weeks of the 2025 regular season after violating the league’s personal conduct policy, the NFL announced Thursday.
Tucker, 35, can serve the suspension as a free agent and is allowed to sign with an NFL team. If he signs with a team, he can attend training camp and play in preseason games before the suspension starts on August 26. He is eligible for reinstatement on November 11.
The allegations against Tucker stem from accusations by 16 massage therapists from high-end spas and wellness centers in Baltimore. The claims of sexual misconduct reportedly took place between 2012 and 2016, during Tucker’s initial five seasons with the Ravens.
The Baltimore Ravens released Tucker on May 5 during the NFL’s investigation. The team’s decision to part ways with the kicker, who had been the league’s most accurate kicker, came as a shock.
“We are disappointed with the NFL’s decision,” said Tucker’s representative Rob Roche in a statement. “Justin has always strived to carry himself in a way that would make his family and community proud. He stands by his previous statements. In order to put this difficult episode behind him and get back on the field as soon as possible, we have advised Justin to accept this resolution and close this matter.”
Tucker has consistently denied the allegations, labeling them as “unequivocally false” and dismissing the claims made by the Baltimore Banner as “desperate tabloid fodder.”
Before the suspension, the Ravens released Tucker with three years left on a lucrative four-year, $22 million contract extension, which made him the highest-paid kicker at the time. He was the longest-tenured player on the Ravens and the final member of the Super Bowl championship roster from 2012.
A seven-time Pro Bowler, Tucker holds multiple NFL records, including the highest field goal conversion rate at 89.1% and the longest field goal in history with a 66-yarder in 2021. However, he faced challenges last season, missing a total of ten kicks, his highest in any season, and finishing with a 73.3% conversion rate, ranking 31st in the league.
