Devin Bush Nfl Linebacker Arrest News

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Cleveland Browns linebacker Devin Bush was arrested on Sunday in Bell Acres Borough, near Pittsburgh, on charges of simple assault and harassment, according to court documents reported by Colin Dunlap of KDKA Radio.

The simple assault charge is classified as a second-degree misdemeanor, carrying a potential penalty of up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. The harassment charge is a summary offense, which can result in a maximum of 90 days in prison and a $300 fine.

The 26-year-old Bush, who was drafted 10th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, has had a challenging career, highlighted by a torn ACL that impacted his sophomore season. Despite these setbacks, he has recorded a total of 399 tackles in his seven-year NFL career.

During his first season with the Browns in 2024, Bush played in 16 games and made 10 starts, amassing 76 tackles, one sack, and three passes defended. He re-signed with the Browns in March 2025 on a one-year contract worth $3.25 million.

Bush’s recent arrest marks the second time he has faced legal trouble; in 2020, he was cited for a traffic violation. Following his arrest on Sunday, Bush was released on a non-monetary bond and is set for a preliminary arraignment.

The NFL could impose discipline under its Personal Conduct Policy, pending the outcome of the legal proceedings. Bush’s hearing is scheduled for May 20.
