NFL Scouting Combine Kicks Off with 329 Top Prospects

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The 2025 NFL scouting combine has officially begun, providing 329 football prospects with a platform to showcase their skills ahead of the NFL draft.
Running from February 27 to March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium, the combine offers players the chance to participate in on-field workouts, interviews, and press conferences, potentially boosting their draft stock with NFL teams. Although not every invited prospect will partake in the drills, events are designed to display athletes’ physical attributes for coaches, general managers, and scouts.
This year’s notable participants include Travis Hunter from Colorado and Cam Ward, the quarterback from Miami, alongside a host of other prominent college football stars. As the combine unfolds, viewers can stream the workouts live on NFL Network and NFL+.
During the four-day event, participants will undergo a series of drills including the 40-yard dash, bench press, and vertical jump, with specialized exercises for different positions. For instance, quarterbacks will take part in throwing drills, while wide receivers will engage in route-running exercises.
Among the invitees are all four Heisman Trophy finalists: Miami’s Cam Ward, Oregon‘s Dillon Gabriel, Boise State‘s Ashton Jeanty, and the two-way standout Travis Hunter from Colorado. While many of these players are considered likely first-round picks in the upcoming NFL draft, not all will be showcasing their skills. Notably, Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter, viewed as a potential No. 1 overall selection, will not participate due to an injury.
Additionally, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, has opted to forego on-field drills, instead prioritizing personal interviews with teams. Sanders plans to showcase his skills at Colorado’s pro day, the date of which has yet to be confirmed.
Complete coverage of the NFL scouting combine is available, with reruns of the first three days airing each evening at 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. ET, concluding with special broadcasts for Day 4 at 6 p.m., 10 p.m., and 2 a.m. ET. NFL Network’s coverage will be anchored by lead draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah and sportscaster Rich Eisen, along with contributions from analysts including Ian Rapoport and Kurt Warner.
The NFL continues to maintain a tracker for fans to monitor the results live from Indianapolis, providing an interactive experience as teams prepare for April’s draft.
