NFL Star Peterson in Video Fight Over Poker Dispute

Houston, Texas – Former NFL superstar Adrian Peterson was involved in a fistfight with a poker player following a disagreement over a hand at JokerStars, a social club, on May 27. The altercation was captured on video and later obtained by TMZ Sports.
Peterson explained that he and a friend had an argument at the gaming table, saying, “one thing led to another,” and they ended up fighting. Video footage shows the two exchanging punches for several seconds before a bystander attempted to intervene.
Initially, Peterson took several punches to the face, but as the fight progressed, he seemed to land several solid hits against his opponent when the brawl moved toward a back wall. After they were separated, witnesses reported seeing visible injuries on both fighters.
Despite the blood, Peterson stated that his injury occurred after he fell onto a chair, not from the punches exchanged. He later mentioned that alcohol was present during the incident but insisted it was not the cause of the escalation.
“Me and the guy, we’re cool,” Peterson said. “We’ve known each other. It was literally like a brother situation. We agreed to disagree; we had our words, and we threw blows – and that was it.”
Following the fight, Peterson expressed remorse, admitting, “I felt really bad. It’s a situation where I kind of regret it.” Local authorities were not called to the scene, and Peterson reported that JokerStars took no action against either party involved in the incident.
Since retiring from a successful 15-year NFL career, Peterson has taken up poker and enjoys playing games at venues like JokerStars.
