Nfl Schedule Release May 2025

Phoenix, AZ — The 2025 NFL schedule is set to be released in May, with league officials targeting dates between May 13 and May 15 for the announcement, according to Mike North, the NFL’s Vice President of Broadcast Planning.

In an interview, North confirmed, “Somewhere in the May 13, 14, or 15 range is probably still our target.” He noted the possibility of an earlier release, stating, “If by some miracle, we’re done on May 7, […] and the commissioner says, ‘Hey, this is perfect, I wouldn’t change a thing, guys,’ we’re done. Pencils down.”

The NFL traditionally released its schedule in April but shifted the date to May during the 2020 COVID-19 season and has maintained that timeline since. North explained the benefits of this delay, emphasizing the opportunity to assess draft outcomes and player trades that could influence the schedule.

As the draft approaches, North mentioned other potential considerations that may affect the schedule. “Are there some trades that are going to happen? Still waiting on a certain future Hall of Fame quarterback to sign somewhere, maybe this year,” he said, hinting at the uncertainty surrounding veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Currently, speculation suggests that Rodgers may sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, a move that could impact the scheduling of the Steelers’ game against the Green Bay Packers. If finalized, it is likely North and his team will highlight this matchup in the upcoming schedule.

The Steelers are one of seven teams that will host an international game this upcoming season. Additional information about these teams and the fixed home-and-away opponents for all 32 teams has been made available, although the complete schedule will not be unveiled until May.
