Nfl Draft 2025 Green Bay Wisconsin

GREEN BAY, Wis. — As the NFL Draft approaches, anticipation builds with Round 1 set for April 24, followed by Rounds 2 and 3 on April 25, and Rounds 4 through 7 on April 26.

In preparation for the event, ESPN has gathered insights from each of the 32 NFL Nation reporters about the teams’ strategies and player evaluations. Analysts Matt Miller and Jordan Reid have also weighed in on potential fits for each franchise.

The Carolina Panthers recently made headlines by signing former college basketball player Granger, a 6-foot-8, 245-pound prospect aiming to transition into an NFL tight end. Granger, who played college basketball at a Division I level, began his journey in football after five years off the field. Coach Dave Canales and general manager Dan Morgan hope he performs similarly to notable tight end converts like Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Granger, and we believe he has the potential to make an impact,” Canales said. “His physical attributes combined with his athletic background offer great promise.”

Meanwhile, the New York Jets have signed quarterback Justin Fields, who will be their eighth different Week 1 starting quarterback in the past 14 years. Fields joins the Jets on a two-year, $40 million contract after a tumultuous period in Pittsburgh.

“I believe this opportunity will allow me to showcase my skills and help lead this team,” Fields said during a press conference. Following a strong start last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Fields was benched after a calf injury but remains optimistic about his future in New York.

West of Green Bay, the Las Vegas Raiders have waived cornerback Jones in a cost-saving move. The decision freed up $3.4 million in salary cap space. Jones, who had a career year with 69 tackles, three interceptions, and 16 passes defended last season, struggled against opposing offenses, allowing 698 yards and nine touchdowns.

“This decision reflects our commitment to optimizing our roster for the upcoming draft,” Raiders general manager John Spytek said. The Raiders plan to address their cornerback needs in the upcoming draft.

Finally, the Dallas Cowboys continue to bolster their offensive line by signing veteran lineman Charles to a one-year deal. Charles, 25, previously had stints with Washington and Tennessee and is anticipated to provide depth along the interior line as the Cowboys prepare for the draft.

“We’re excited to add Charles to our roster; he brings valuable experience and versatility,” said coach Brian Schottenheimer. “We believe he will contribute significantly to our offensive line.”
