2024 Nfl Trade Deadline Players And Teams Involved

The 2024 NFL trade deadline, set for November 5 at 4 p.m. ET, has seen several significant moves as teams scramble to bolster their rosters for the remainder of the season. One of the notable trades involves the Detroit Lions, who have acquired edge rusher Za'Darius Smith from the Cleveland Browns. Smith, a three-time Pro Bowler, has been in strong form this year with 5.5 sacks through eight games, addressing a critical need for the Lions following Aidan Hutchinson‘s injury.

The Cincinnati Bengals have also made a move, trading for running back Khalil Herbert. This addition aims to strengthen their backfield as the team pushes for a strong finish to the season.

Other teams are actively exploring last-minute deals. The New York Giants‘ pass rusher Azeez Ojulari has drawn interest from several teams, including the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, and Cincinnati Bengals. Despite Ojulari’s standout performance, the Giants have other strong edge rushers like Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux.

The New Orleans Saints, following the firing of head coach Dennis Allen, are expected to be more open to trading veterans. Players like longtime pass rusher Cameron Jordan and cornerback Marshon Lattimore could be on the move. The Kansas City Chiefs, who have already made significant in-season deals, are reportedly eyeing Lattimore.

The Chicago Bears have made guard Nate Davis available for trade, just a year after signing him to a three-year, $30 million deal. This move reflects the Bears’ efforts to adjust their roster and potentially gain draft picks.

Other potential trades include the Houston Texans seeking a wide receiver to fill the void left by Stefon Diggs‘ season-ending injury. Possible targets include Giants wideout Darius Slayton, Panthers veteran Adam Thielen, and Jets receiver Mike Williams.

The Dallas Cowboys are also under scrutiny for potential trades, particularly involving running back Chuba Hubbard from the Carolina Panthers. Hubbard has been one of the NFL’s most underrated players and could significantly bolster the Cowboys’ backfield.
