NHL Unveils 2025 Winter Classic Jerseys for Blackhawks and Blues
The NHL and Fanatics have unveiled the special jerseys that the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues will wear during the 2025 NHL Winter Classic, scheduled to take place on December 31, 2024, at historic Wrigley Field in Chicago. The game, which marks the NHL’s 16th Winter Classic and the 42nd regular-season outdoor game, promises to be a nostalgic and visually appealing event.
The Blackhawks’ Winter Classic sweater features a classic lace-neck collar and a vintage cream color, evoking the spirit of the Original Six era. The front crest includes stars from the Chicago city flag, while the back numbers incorporate subtle pinstripes, paying homage to Chicago’s baseball tradition and the home of the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field. The team will also wear classic brown gloves to complete the retro look.
The St. Louis Blues’ uniform is equally historic, with a primary wordmark that, for the first time in team history, does not feature the ‘Blue Note’ as the principal design element on the chest. Instead, the font styling and numbers are inspired by an unworn prototype Blues uniform from 1966. The jersey includes a newly designed vintage-style ‘Blue Note’ on the shoulder and features fleur-de-lis designs on the inside back neck and hem loop labels to honor the city of St. Louis.
The jerseys, along with additional Winter Classic merchandise such as winter hats, outerwear, and more, are now available for purchase across the Fanatics network of sites, including NHLShop.com, NHLShop.ca, and team-specific stores in Chicago and St. Louis.
