Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Man Noir Costume Revealed in New Set Photos
Nicolas Cage is set to reprise his role as Spider-Man Noir in a new live-action series, and the first set photos have now been revealed. The character, known for his dark and gritty persona, is seen in his traditional attire, which includes a fedora, trench coat, goggles, and combat boots, giving off a distinct steampunk and noir vibe.
The set photos and videos show Cage’s stunt double, not the actor himself, in action on the set. The scenes depict Spider-Man Noir atop a car during a high-speed chase, using his webs to stop the vehicle. This live-action adaptation stays true to the character’s appearance from the animated Spider-Verse films, despite some creative liberties with the storyline.
The series, titled ‘Spider-Noir,’ is part of Sony‘s expanding Marvel properties on Prime Video and MGM+. The show features a star-studded cast, including Nicolas Cage, Brendan Gleeson, Lamorne Morris, Jack Huston, and Li Jun Li. Unlike the traditional Spider-Man Noir character, who is an alternate universe version of Peter Parker, this series will introduce a different identity for the hero, though specifics have not been disclosed.
The show is expected to capture the essence of a 1930s New York City setting, with Spider-Man Noir acting as an aging, grizzled private investigator battling crime in a corrupt city. The series promises a blend of action, intrigue, and noir-style narration, making it a unique addition to the Spider-Man franchise.
