Nike Ja 2 Kool Aid Sneaker Bright Crimson

Nike and Kool-Aid have teamed up to create a vibrant new colorway for Ja Morant‘s second signature shoe, the Nike Ja 2. The sneaker, set to release in May 2025, features a nostalgic design inspired by two iconic Kool-Aid flavors: Blue Raspberry and Cherry Red. The left shoe transitions from light blue to black, while the right shoe fades from cherry red to orange, creating a striking visual contrast.

The collaboration pays homage to the beloved drink with unmistakable branding, including the iconic Kool-Aid Man character on the tongue and his catchphrase, “Ohhh Yeah!” printed on the reverse side. The sneaker’s upper is adorned with paint splatter details and knit-like textures, complemented by a black Swoosh logo. The design is a playful nod to childhood memories and a bold statement in the world of athletic footwear.

Ja Morant, the Memphis Grizzlies‘ star guard, has been actively involved in the design process, sharing sneak peeks of the shoe on social media. “This collaboration is about bringing fun and energy to the court,” Morant said in a recent interview. “Kool-Aid is a part of so many people’s childhoods, and I wanted to capture that joy in my shoe.”

The Nike Ja 2 Kool-Aid edition will retail for $130 and is expected to be a hit among sneaker enthusiasts and basketball fans alike. The release follows a series of limited-edition colorways for the Ja 2, including a Valentine's Day-themed “Heart Eyes” version and a Halloween-inspired design.

Nike’s partnership with Kool-Aid marks a unique crossover between sports and pop culture, blending athletic performance with playful aesthetics. The sneaker is set to debut alongside other highly anticipated releases in Nike’s 2025 lineup, further solidifying Morant’s influence in the footwear industry.
