Bo Nix Shines in Preseason Debut
In his first game with the Denver Broncos, rookie quarterback Bo Nix made quite an impression. Playing against the Indianapolis Colts, Nix led the team to four scoring drives.
Nix, selected as the 12th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, completed 15 of 21 passes for 125 yards and even tossed a touchdown. He showcased his skills by connecting with Marvin Mims for a short scoring pass.
Postgame, Nix shared his thoughts, saying, “It was a good day. I thought we ran the ball efficiently and made some good plays in the pass game.” He also mentioned the importance of scoring both before and after halftime.
Throughout the game, he handled the pressure well, scrambling effectively and managing Sean Payton‘s offense like a pro. His successful performance raised questions about the starting quarterback position for the upcoming season.
Jarrett Stidham, who started the game, struggled a bit with only 37 passing yards and an interception. Despite this, Stidham emphasized that the team did good things but needed to work on penalties that hindered their progress.
Nix shined further by executing a solid touchdown drive, demonstrating athleticism and quick decision-making. He even added a few rushing yards to his stats, making him a dual-threat quarterback.
With another game on the horizon against the Green Bay Packers, fans and analysts are excited to see how Nix will perform next. His debut definitely left them wanting more from the rookie.
