Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize Walk Out of AEW Collision
Las Vegas, NV — Tensions ran high during AEW Collision on Sunday when wrestling partners Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize reportedly left the event before their scheduled match.
The duo was slated to face Tay Melo and Anna Jay in their second AEW appearance but refused to follow through with the booking, citing frustration over a prior loss. According to PWInsider, they felt that taking another loss so soon after their debut was unjustified.
Newell, formerly known as WWE’s Tegan Nox, and Alize walked out approximately one hour before the show began. The wrestling promotion quickly replaced the pair with Hyan and Maya World, who received praise from AEW management for their last-minute participation.
AEW officials expressed appreciation for World and Hyan stepping in, noting that both gained internal recognition for their efforts.
Following their departure, Alize took to social media to hint at deeper issues, stating, “have SOOOO much to say.” She also shared fan comments advocating for the team to earn credible wins. Newell, on the other hand, has yet to comment publicly but echoed Alize’s sentiments by re-tweeting her posts.
Previously, Newell discussed the challenges of securing wrestling opportunities, describing the situation as “like a nightmare.” Meanwhile, Alize, who has experience in Ring of Honor, has been striving to re-establish her reputation in the national wrestling landscape. Neither wrestler is believed to be under a formal AEW contract as of now.
As news of their walkout spreads, questions arise regarding the impact on their future with AEW. Fans are left pondering whether their decision to protect their momentum was justified or if it could hinder their careers.
