Nollywood Actress Shan George Seeks Help After Bank Account Drained of N3.6m

Veteran Nollywood actress, Shan George, has turned to social media in a plea for assistance after discovering the disappearance of N3.6 million from her Zenith Bank account, allegedly orchestrated by an individual identified as Cecilia Chiagoziem Okoro.

Taking to her Instagram account, George shared a screenshot of the debit alert, expressing her distress: “I need help cos I’m dying. This person has just cleared my account. Pls my people, everyone please help. Please Zenith Bank, reverse it. I can’t access my app. I’m dead.”

In a heartfelt video plea shared on Instagram, the renowned actress tearfully addressed her followers, emphasizing the urgent need for intervention. George named the culprit as Cecilia Chiagoziem Okoro, revealing the draining of 3.6 million into an Opay account.

“I am begging everybody, please Zenith Bank, Opay, Abeg make una help me. I take God beg una. I don’t have any kobo anywhere again, what will I eat? I no fit beg, I beg una, make una help me,” pleaded George in the emotional video.

She further implored law enforcement agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian police, to step in and resolve the situation. Describing the incident as a recent occurrence on the 3rd of May, George highlighted the urgent need for swift action to reverse the unauthorized transaction.
