Nollywood Mourns the Passing of Actor Big Larry

Nollywood is in mourning following the death of actor Big Larry, who reportedly passed away on Friday. The announcement of his passing was made by the well-known movie producer Stanley Ontop on his official Instagram account.

Stanley Ontop shared a picture of Big Larry, expressing his grief with the words, “Nollywood actor Big Larry has just passed away. What caused his demise is yet to be known. May your soul rest in peace, Big Larry. Nollywood, Asaba mourns.”

Nollywood, the Nigerian film industry, has faced a series of losses in recent months. According to DAILY POST, since January 2024, the industry has mourned the deaths of several notable personalities, including Mr Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Sisi Quadri, Ganiyu ‘Ogunjimi’ Oyeyemi, and Junior Pope.

In response to these unfortunate events, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) announced in May 2024 a four-day fasting and prayer session. This was organized in collaboration with the founder of Streams of Joy International, Jerry Eze, aiming to pray against untimely deaths within the industry.
