Northern Ireland Defender Sam McClelland Prepared for Triumph at Dundee United
Following his recent arrival at Dundee United, Northern Ireland international Sam McClelland expresses confidence in his readiness for success at Tannadice.
McClelland believes his exposure to the physical nature of the English Football League (EFL) has equipped him well for the challenges ahead in Scotland.
The defender, who recently sustained an ankle injury while on international duty, is now back to full fitness and eager to make an impact with Jim Goodwin’s side.
Having started off his career at Chelsea‘s academy, where he faced top European youth teams, and gained senior experience with clubs like Barrow and St Johnstone, McClelland brings a diverse skill set to the Dundee United squad.
McClelland, who had a few training sessions with Chelsea’s first team under the management of Frank Lampard, is excited about the upcoming match against Raith Rovers.
He sees the game as an opportunity to contribute as Dundee United aims to extend their lead at the top of the table with over 3,600 fans expected to travel to Fife.
