Norwich City faced off against Blackburn Rovers at Carrow Road but were left just short of their first league win of the season, settling for a 2-2 draw.

Blackburn’s Yuki Ohashi found the net late in the game, securing a point for his team moments after Norwich had taken the lead with goals from Josh Sargent and Borja Sainz.

The match started slowly, but Norwich had an early chance when Sargent managed to snag the ball off Sondre Tronstad, only to shoot wide. Sargent came close again with a powerful header from a corner, but it hit the bar and bounced away.

Things took a turn when Blackburn scored first in the 20th minute. Ryan Hedges took advantage of Norwich’s less-than-stellar defending to chip the ball over goalkeeper Angus Gunn, making it 1-0.

Not to be discouraged, Norwich geared up and pressed hard for an equalizer, with Sargent missing a couple of good chances set up by the lively Borja Sainz.

The second half saw a shift in momentum. Blackburn seemed content to defend, allowing Norwich to control possession. Finally, Sargent struck, launching a fierce left-footed shot into the roof of the net in the 65th minute to level the score.

Norwich didn’t stop there — just eight minutes later, Sargent played a clever pass to Sainz, who easily tapped in the go-ahead goal to put Norwich up 2-1.

However, the drama wasn’t over yet. In the dying moments of the game, Ohashi came off the bench and scored with a diving header from a cross by Callum Brittain, making it 2-2.
