Nsw U19 Women's State Of Origin Dominates Queensland With Stellar Performance

The New South Wales U19 Women’s State of Origin team delivered a commanding display as they overwhelmed their Queensland counterparts in a thrilling clash, securing a resounding 46-4 victory.

Initially, Queensland had a promising start, but NSW‘s solid defense quickly shut down any scoring opportunities, allowing Kasey Reh to draw first blood with a try.

Responding swiftly, Ebony Raftstrand-Smith managed to get Queensland on the scoreboard with a strong try. However, NSW’s Lindsay Tui capitalized on the momentum, exploiting gaps in Queensland’s defense to notch another try.

Commentator Brenton Speed highlighted the turning point when Tui capitalized on a short dropout from Queensland, catching the ball and bypassing defenders effortlessly to shift the game’s momentum in favor of NSW.

Continuing their dominance, NSW’s Chelsea Savill and Evah McEwen added to the scoreboard before halftime, leaving Queensland struggling to keep pace with the Blues.

The second half proved to be even more challenging for Queensland as an unfortunate incident with the referee obstructing Montaya Hudson in the in-goal area led to Bronte Wilson extending NSW’s lead.

Despite Queensland’s efforts, the Bunker denied a try for Shauna Barnham, further frustrating the Maroons. NSW’s Maria Paseka and Evie McGrath then sealed the victory with consecutive tries, putting the game out of reach.

Ryvrr-Lee Alo contributed to the second-half onslaught, scoring with just over 10 minutes left on the clock, followed by an impressive solo effort from young talent Indie Bostock, showcasing her exceptional athleticism.

Standout performances from players like Kasey Reh, a rising NRLW star, and the dynamic duo of Bostock and Reh from St George Illawarra highlighted the depth of talent in the NSW team.
