Nuggets Pacers Game Highlights

DENVER, CO – The Denver Nuggets defeated the Indiana Pacers 117-100 Saturday night, marking their fourth consecutive win and improving their record to 7-2. The Pacers, on the other hand, dropped to 1-8 following the loss.

Nuggets star Nikola Jokic showcased his incredible talent with a triple-double, scoring 32 points, grabbing 14 rebounds, and dishing out 14 assists. This performance marked his sixth triple-double in just nine games this season.

Denver played without key players Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray, both sidelined due to injuries. Despite the absence of regulars, Denver head coach David Adelman was confident in the team’s depth, stating, ‘There’s just not that many human beings that are that big and jump that high and explode like that.’

The Nuggets also welcomed the return of Michael Porter Jr., who had been out recovering from a left shoulder strain. He contributed significantly, scoring 25 points. Andrew Nembhard added 22 points, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win for Indiana.

The game was competitive, with the Pacers managing to close the gap to 64-61 early in the third quarter. However, Jokic’s sharp shooting and playmaking helped the Nuggets pull away, culminating in a commanding 13-point lead by the end of the third quarter.

With 7:49 left in the third, Jokic secured his triple-double with a pass to teammate Cam Johnson. Later in the fourth quarter, he capped his performance with a deep 3-pointer, extending the Nuggets’ lead to 109-88.

Next up, the Pacers will visit the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, while the Nuggets are set to face the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.
