Edmonton Oilers Vs Vegas Golden Knights Game 4

EDMONTON, Alberta — The Edmonton Oilers delivered an impressive performance in Game 4, defeating the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 on May 12, 2025, at Rogers Place. The win gives the Oilers a 3-1 lead in the second-round playoff series.

Adam Henrique shined by scoring two goals during a physically intense first period. His efforts helped establish a commanding edge for the Oilers, who contained the Golden Knights and limited them to just 23 shots throughout the game.

Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner, who made his first playoff shutout, executed several critical saves, particularly a strong stop on Ivan Barbashev when the game remained competitive. Skinner praised his teammates, stating, “Thanks to the guys playing in front of me. They were amazing. Made my job a lot easier.”

Evander Kane further extended Edmonton’s lead with a goal in the second period. He slipped the puck past Vegas goaltender Adin Hill after a deflection off a defenseman’s skate. The Oilers’ fans, in a show of support, chanted Hill’s name throughout the game, marking a night where the Golden Knights struggled to generate offensive momentum.

Edmonton’s victory marked their eighth straight win in Game 4s of playoff series. In contrast, the Golden Knights fell to 10-8 all-time in Game 4s, now finding themselves on the brink of elimination for the third time in franchise history.

Henrique’s two goals were particularly notable, as he had not scored twice in a playoff game since April 2012. He benefited from strong forechecking by Kane, who assisted him on both goals. His determination resulted in spectacular plays, including flipping the puck between his legs for his second score.

The Golden Knights struggled offensively, particularly on power plays, where they failed to convert any of their three opportunities. Jack Eichel, a star for Vegas, noted the team lacked “urgency” in their efforts during the game.

As the series shifts back to Las Vegas for Game 5, the Golden Knights will need a remarkable effort to keep their playoff hopes alive. They face a solid Oilers team eager for another shot at the Stanley Cup.
