Oklahoma City Thunder Sign Center Branden Carlson from Raptors 905
The Oklahoma City Thunder have made a significant addition to their roster by signing center Branden Carlson, who was previously with the Raptors 905 of the NBA‘s G League. Carlson, a 7-foot center, has been impressive in his recent performances, prompting the Thunder to bolster their frontcourt depth.
Carlson, 25, was signed by the Toronto Raptors as an undrafted free agent this past off-season. He participated in the Summer League and pre-season with the Raptors before joining the Raptors 905. With the G League team, Carlson started in all three games he played this season, averaging 14.3 points on 51.5% shooting, along with 8.7 rebounds per game.
Notably, Carlson is the all-time shot-blocking leader for the University of Utah, where he honed his skills before entering the professional league. His defensive prowess and scoring ability make him a valuable asset for the Thunder.
The contract details indicate that Carlson has signed a one-year, standard contract with the Thunder, although some reports suggest it might be a two-way deal initially offered by the Raptors before his move.
