Oklahoma State Baseball Championship

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Oklahoma State Cowboys are set to face the Baylor Bears in the opening round of the 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship on Wednesday at Globe Life Field.

Oklahoma State, which finished with a record of 15-12 in conference play, earned the seventh seed in the tournament. The Cowboys faced off against the Bears earlier this month, winning two of three games, including dominant victories of 7-2 and 4-0, before narrowly losing 5-4 in extra innings.

The upcoming matchup is crucial as both teams look to gain momentum in the postseason. “We know what to expect from Baylor,” said a source close to the Cowboys’ coaching staff. “We’re treating this as a fresh start for a championship run.”

Oklahoma State entered the final month of the season struggling at 7-11 in league play but turned things around in May, finishing with an impressive 8-1 record. The team was previously ranked as the preseason favorite after their Big 12 Tournament victory last year, though this year’s regular season honors went to West Virginia, who finished at 19-9.

The tournament takes place from Wednesday through Saturday, featuring a total of 10 games across four days. OSU’s matchup against Baylor is scheduled for 4 p.m. CDT, with live coverage available on ESPNU and ESPN+.

As excitement builds for postseason baseball in Arlington, fans can look forward to the full slate of games announced by the Big 12. The championship concludes with the final match scheduled for Saturday evening.
