Omos Remains Benched Despite Readiness to Compete in WWE

LOS ANGELES, April 16, 2025 — Omos, a former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion, has not appeared on WWE programming since April 2024, despite being healthy and ready to compete, leading fans to question his status within the company. The giant’s absence follows a successful stint in Pro Wrestling NOAH where he held the GHC Tag Team Titles.
In January 2025, Omos captured the GHC titles alongside Jack Morris and successfully defended them before relinquishing the titles to Daga on January 25. That marked the end of his active appearance on NOAH, and he announced plans to return to WWE shortly thereafter. However, since then, he has not made any return to WWE programming.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Omos is not injured and is eager to perform. Despite his readiness, WWE has not included him in recent creative discussions, effectively sidelining him since his last match.
Sources within WWE indicate that Omos made a favorable impression during his time in NOAH, with management appreciating his willingness to work abroad. Furthermore, a source from NOAH mentioned that the company would welcome him back if needed.
Since June 2023, Omos has primarily appeared in battle royals and a select few live events, making his extended absence from Monday Night Raw and SmackDown even more notable. As fans and analysts speculate about his future, the uncertainty surrounding his career remains a key topic ahead of upcoming WWE events.
WWE is gearing up for WrestleMania 41, and with Omos’s status unclear, fans are left wondering whether they will see him return to the ring soon. For ongoing updates on Omos and other wrestling news, stay tuned to WrestleZone.
