U.S. Open Ticket Sales Start Soon: What Fans Need to Know

NEW YORK, NY – As the 2025 tennis season unfolds at Stade Roland-Garros in Paris, fans are already gearing up for the U.S. Open, set to begin in August at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens.
The tournament will run for three weeks, from late August to early September. The first week will focus on qualifying matches and family-friendly activities, while the most anticipated single matchups take place during the final two weeks.
This year introduces changes including an extended singles main draw over 15 days and the Mixed Doubles Championship scheduled for the opening weekend, August 19-20. Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early, especially for high-seeded matches, as these tend to sell out rapidly.
Tickets will soon be available, with American Express cardholders enjoying the benefit of early access beginning May 27 at 9 a.m. ET. Amex has partnered with the U.S. Open for over two decades, offering cardholders the chance to purchase tickets up to three days ahead of the general public.
During the early access window, Amex customers can buy up to eight tickets per session, making it crucial for fans to act fast due to limited availability.
General ticket sales commence on May 30 at 9 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. Fans can choose from various sessions, including reserved seats for day and evening matches in both Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong Stadiums.
For fans hoping to add to their experience, there is an official resale marketplace available through Ticketmaster, as well as other sites like StubHub and Vivid Seats. However, it’s important to note that resale prices typically exceed market value as the event date nears.
Choosing the right tickets can significantly affect the viewing experience. Center court provides the best sightlines, but fans can opt for various ticket types depending on their budget and schedule, including Grounds Passes which allow general access to all matches.
As ticket sales commence, it’s wise for fans to stay alert and plan ahead for an unforgettable U.S. Open experience this summer.
