Oregon State Baseball Game June 2025

Corvallis, Oregon – In a dramatic finish, Oregon State University defeated Florida State University 5-4 in the first game of the NCAA Super Regional at Goss Stadium on June 6, 2025. The Beavers scored three runs in the ninth inning, tying the game and forcing extra innings before a walk-off hit from AJ Singer secured the victory.

Florida State appeared to be on track for victory, leading 4-1 in the final inning. However, Oregon State produced a stunning comeback, scoring three runs with two outs in the ninth to erase the deficit. A wild pitch by Seminoles’ pitcher Joe Charles allowed Oregon State’s Jacob Krieg to drive in the tying runs.

“We never gave up,” said Oregon State head coach. “Our players kept fighting until the last out.” The rally began with a leadoff double from Aiva Arquette, which quickly set the stage for the explosive finish.

Florida State had gained momentum with a solid offensive effort, including a home run from Myles Bailey, his seventh in eight games. Bailey’s shot put the Seminoles ahead early on with a two-run lead.

Oregon State’s starting pitcher Dax Whitney struck out ten batters over his performance but was unable to capture the win due to the late-game heroics from the Seminoles.

In the tenth inning, with the bases loaded, Singer delivered the decisive hit that ended the game, bringing the crowd of 4,378 to its feet. “It feels amazing to contribute to such a crucial win,” said Singer.

Game two of the Super Regional will take place at 9 p.m. Saturday, June 7, and will be broadcast on ESPN2. The Beavers look to secure their spot at the College World Series, while Florida State aims for redemption.
