Osasuna’s Budimir Secures 1-0 Victory Against Alaves with Late Goal
Croatian forward Ante Budimir‘s late strike propelled Osasuna to a 1-0 victory over Deportivo Alaves in a La Liga showdown. The match, held at Osasuna’s home ground, was a tight affair until Budimir broke the deadlock with a sublime goal.
Throughout the game, clear-cut opportunities were scarce for both teams. Alaves’ Samu Omorodion came closest to scoring just before halftime when he struck the post. However, it was Budimir who stole the show with his brilliant goal from outside the box.
Budimir, who sported a black protective mask throughout the match due to a previous nose injury, expressed his satisfaction with his performance. The goal marked his 14th in 27 league appearances this season, contributing significantly to Osasuna’s recent unbeaten run.
Following Budimir’s goal, Osasuna climbed to 10th place in La Liga, edging a point above Getafe. On the other hand, Alaves sits in 13th place, having faced a five-game winless streak and struggling to find the back of the net in recent matches.
