Oshoala Urges Ferdinand To Convince Man United To Sign Nwabali After Afcon Heroics

Nigerian women’s soccer star Asisat Oshoala has added her voice to the growing number urging Manchester United to sign goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali following his remarkable performance in the AFCON 2023 semifinal.

Oshoala specifically called on former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand to help make the transfer happen after Nwabali’s heroics inspired the Super Eagles to victory on Wednesday.

After an intense encounter against South Africa, Nwabali saved two penalty kicks in the shootout, securing Nigeria’s place in the final. Oshoala took to social media to demand that Manchester United replace their goalkeeper with Nwabali and pleaded with Ferdinand to push for the deal.

As a passionate Manchester United supporter, Oshoala believes that Nwabali’s outstanding performance in the AFCON 2023 proves that he deserves a high-profile transfer to Old Trafford. With uncertainty surrounding current goalkeeper Andre Onana, Nwabali could be the long-term solution that Manchester United has been searching for.
