Nfl Draft Prospects Offensive Tackle

Norwell, Massachusetts – Ozzy Trapilo, a standout offensive tackle from Boston College, is eagerly anticipating the NFL Draft, which begins Thursday. After a decade of playing with the letters ‘BC‘ on his uniform, he is excited for a new chapter in his career.

“I’m ready for change,” Trapilo told NESN.com. “This has been my dream for forever. So, just being able to do it is going to be awesome.” He recognizes that transitioning to the NFL, where he may wear a different logo on his jersey, will be a significant change.

Trapilo, 23, stands at an impressive 6-foot-8 and weighs 316 pounds. He is regarded as one of the top offensive tackle prospects in this draft class. Many analysts suggest he could be selected in the second or third round, making him a highly sought-after player.

The New England Patriots have shown interest in Trapilo. He has previously met with the team’s staff and participated in their local pro day earlier this month. “It was good. Got to meet with a lot of the people on staff,” he said. “A lot of them I had already met throughout the process.”

Trapilo’s interactions with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, whom he admires, increased his enthusiasm about the possibility of playing for the team. “He’s a great guy, great coach,” Trapilo shared. “I think he’s going to do great for the program there.”

During his college career, Trapilo showcased his versatility by playing at both tackle positions and starting 24 games on the right side of the line. Pro Football Focus awarded him strong grades, highlighting his ability to pass block effectively.

“Ozzy’s the type of guy who is just the same guy every day,” said Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston. “He’ll do whatever the coach asks him to do.” Trapilo’s robust character and work ethic are qualities that could benefit any NFL locker room.

Although the prospect of playing for the Patriots excites Trapilo, he remains focused on his broader goal: making it in the NFL. “My common response is my dream is to play in the NFL,” he stated. “Whoever wants me, I’d be more than happy to do it.”

As the draft approaches, Trapilo finds himself in a familiar state of anticipation. “It has been a long time coming,” he said. “The fact that it’s just a couple days away now is crazy.” He looks forward to the call that could change his life, no matter which team makes it.
