Tom Clements Green Bay Packers Coaching Staff

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Longtime Green Bay Packers offensive assistant Tom Clements announced his retirement Tuesday, ending a storied 17-year coaching career with the franchise.

Clements, who first joined the Packers in 2006 as quarterbacks coach, rose through the ranks to become offensive coordinator and assistant head coach by 2016. After a brief hiatus, he returned to the team in 2022, resuming his role as quarterbacks coach and mentoring players like Jordan Love.

“Man, it’s been such a cool ride with him the past few years,” said a Packers staff member, reflecting on Clements’ impact. “His knowledge and experience have been invaluable to the team.”

During his tenure, Clements played a pivotal role in developing quarterbacks, including Aaron Rodgers during his MVP seasons. His coaching expertise helped shape the Packers’ offensive strategies, contributing to multiple playoff appearances and a Super Bowl XLV victory in 2011.

Clements’ retirement marks the end of an era for the Packers, who will now look to fill a significant void in their coaching staff. The team has not yet announced plans for his replacement.
