Paddy Pimblett Gains Weight After Career-Best Win

Las Vegas, NV — Paddy Pimblett celebrated what he calls the biggest win of his career by indulging in a massive weight gain. Following his victory at UFC 314, he reportedly tipped the scales at over 40 pounds heavier than his official weigh-in.
Pimblett, known as ‘The Baddy’, has always found ways to balloon back up after hitting the lightweight limit of 156 pounds. He rehydrates quickly, often reaching light-heavyweight territory post-fight. Before his match against Michael Chandler, he shed 14 pounds in just a few hours to make weight.
After successfully defeating Chandler, Pimblett celebrated on a yacht party in Miami. He then returned home for his child’s first birthday party before heading to Dubai for a vacation with his wife Laura. In a YouTube video, he documented his food binge and revealed that he weighed just under 91 kilograms but rounded it down to an even 90 kilograms, or about 198 pounds.
This weight puts him well above the middleweight limit and just below the championship weight he aimed for against Jan Blachowicz in March 2021. Pimblett’s swift weight gain after fights has raised eyebrows among fans and pundits alike.
Some fans have drawn comparisons between Pimblett and boxing champion Ricky Hatton, who was nicknamed ‘Ricky Fatton’ for his weight fluctuations. One fan commented on X, ‘Reminds me of Ricky Hatton and eventually it takes its toll.’ Others suggested that Pimblett might have a future in cooking shows due to his love for food, with one writing, ‘He should start a cooking show like Volk because he actually enjoys food.’
