Pankaj Tripathi Starrer 'main Atal Hoon' Unveils Trailer, Reflecting On Atal Bihari Vajpayee's Legacy

Pankaj Tripathi starrer Main Atal Hoon has released an intriguing new trailer, providing glimpses into various significant events such as the Emergency, Babri Masjid demolition, Pokhran nuclear test, and more. The film showcases Pankaj Tripathi in the role of the late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The trailer introduces Vajpayee as not just a poet, not just a statesman, but much more than a Prime Minister.

In one scene, Pankaj Tripathi’s Atal Bihari Vajpayee is seen discussing with a friend how the public tends to believe what is shown to them through media. Another scene portrays Vajpayee facing criticism when someone mentions Nathuram Godse, the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi. Both Godse and Vajpayee were affiliated with the RSS during their formative years.

The trailer then delves into how Atal Bihari Vajpayee took a stand against Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi during the Emergency years. It also showcases Vajpayee’s role in the Pokhran nuclear test, with former President Abdul Kalam congratulating him on its success.

Main Atal Hoon also explores Vajpayee’s voluntary visit to Ayodhya following the Babri Masjid demolition. Additionally, the film sheds light on the bus service between India and Pakistan.

Directed by Ravi Jadhav and written by Rishi Virmani and Ravi Jadhav, Main Atal Hoon is produced by Bhanushali Studios Limited and Legend Studios. The star cast includes Piyush Mishra, Raja Rameshkumar Sevak, Daya Shankar Pandey, Pramod Pathak, Paayal Kapoor Nair, Harshad Kumar, Prasanna Ketkar, Haresh Khatri, Paula McGlynn, and Gauri Sukhtankar.

Main Atal Hoon is set to hit the theaters on January 19th.
