Carolina Panthers Player Signings March 2025

CHARLOTTE — The Carolina Panthers have made significant roster moves as the NFL 2025 league year commenced on March 12. The team agreed to terms with wide receiver Dan Chisena and linebacker Christian Rozeboom, bolstering both offensive depth and defensive talent.

Chisena’s one-year deal comes as he was set to become a restricted free agent. The 28-year-old receiver, originally signed to the Panthers’ practice squad last October, made an impactful debut by catching his first NFL pass in December and later contributing to the team during the final weeks of the season.

Prior to joining the Panthers, Chisena had brief stints with the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona Cardinals, and Baltimore Ravens. Known for his exceptional speed, he clocked in at 4.32 seconds during his pro day at Penn State, where he played three seasons of college football and caught three passes.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue my career with the Panthers,” Chisena said in a statement. “I look forward to contributing both on offense and special teams.”

Meanwhile, Rozeboom signed a one-year contract after starting 11 games for the Los Angeles Rams last season. The 28-year-old linebacker tallied a career-high 135 tackles and five tackles for loss, underscoring his capability as a defensive player on the field.

Originally an undrafted rookie from South Dakota State, Rozeboom played one game with the Kansas City Chiefs before being signed by the Rams. Over his career, he has started 16 games and showcased his versatility and reliability as a linebacker.

“Joining the Panthers is a great opportunity for me to continue developing as a player and help this team compete,” Rozeboom said. “I’m excited about the direction of the franchise and can’t wait to get to work.”

The activity surrounding the Panthers is reflective of the broader player movement occurring in the NFL as free agency opens up. Teams across the league are finalizing deals and releasing players, preparing for the offseason as they strategize for the upcoming season.

As the offseason unfolds, the Panthers’ front office will continue to assess their roster and make moves that align with their goals. The signings of Chisena and Rozeboom mark the beginning of a critical period for the team.
