CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers have signed wide receiver Muhsin “Moose” Muhammad III as an undrafted free agent, according to a report by Mike Garafolo of NFL Media. The announcement was made on April 27, 2025.

Muhammad III, the son of former Panthers star receiver Muhsin Muhammad Jr., continues the family legacy in Charlotte. His father ranks second in franchise history for receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns, having played for the team from 1996 to 2008.

The younger Muhammad played collegiately at Texas A&M, where he showed impressive skills on the field. During his time with the Aggies, he recorded 81 catches for 1,163 yards and 12 touchdowns, showcasing his potential as a wideout.

This offseason, the Panthers also drafted wide receivers Tetairoa McMillan in the first round and Jimmy Horn Jr. in the sixth round. Veteran players Adam Thielen, Jalen Coker, Xavier Legette, and David Moore round out the team’s depth chart at the receiving position.

With an illustrious family background and a successful college career, Muhammad III has the opportunity to carve out his own path in the NFL.
