Psg Vs Arsenal Champions League Match

PARIS, France — Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League final after defeating Arsenal 3-1 on aggregate in the semifinal second leg on May 7, 2025, at the Parc des Princes.

PSG took control of the match early, with Fabián Ruiz scoring in the 27th minute and Achraf Hakimi adding another goal in the 72nd minute. Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka brought hope for his team with a goal in the 76th minute, but it was not enough to overturn PSG’s lead.

Arsenal needed to overcome a one-goal deficit from the first leg but struggled to find a rhythm against a confident PSG side. Despite a late push, including Saka’s close chance at an open goal, Arsenal’s missed opportunities ultimately cost them a place in the final.

“We had our chances, but we couldn’t finish,” Saka said after the match. “Missing that goal was tough. It could have changed the game.” PSG’s goalkeeper, David Raya, made a crucial save from a penalty in the 70th minute, further stifling Arsenal’s ambitions.

As the match progressed, PSG focused on maintaining their lead, employing time-wasting tactics late in the second half. Coach Luis Enrique made key substitutions to reinforce the defense, putting his team on the cusp of another Champions League title.

The final is set for May 31 in Munich, where PSG will face Inter Milan.
