Patrick Kane Sells Luxurious Chicago Condo for $2.11 Million

Chicago, IL — Former Chicago Blackhawks right winger Patrick Kane sold a luxury condominium in the Trump International Hotel & Tower for $2.11 million in late March. This three-bedroom unit, located on the 69th floor, spans 3,102 square feet.
Kane, 36, is renowned for his impressive career with the Blackhawks, winning three Stanley Cup titles before his trade to the New York Rangers in 2023. He currently plays for the Detroit Red Wings. In 2017, he was honored as one of the NHL’s 100 greatest players.
Kane originally purchased the 69th-floor condo through a land trust in 2016 for $3.1 million. He reduced the price from an initial listing of $3 million in May 2024, first to $2.7 million in November, and then to $2.5 million in February before striking a deal on March 12.
The sale marks an approximate $1 million loss for Kane. The condo features four full bathrooms, 10-foot ceilings, dual fireplaces, new nine-inch-wide flooring, and a kitchen equipped with high-end appliances including Wolf, Miele, and Sub-Zero.
Donna Kane, Patrick’s mother, confirmed the sale but declined to provide further details. Despite his departure from the Blackhawks, Patrick Kane still owns several properties in the Chicago area.
In addition to the Trump building condo, Kane retains a 33rd-floor unit he bought for $2.06 million in 2008. He also owns a four-bedroom condo on the 25th floor at 9 W. Walton Street, acquired for $6.46 million in 2019, and a five-bedroom house in Lake Forest purchased for $5 million in 2022.
The sold 69th-floor unit had a property tax bill of $20,764 for 2023, alongside a monthly assessment fee of $3,654, totaling an annual cost of $64,612.
